Easter Sunrise Service 2008

23.03.2008, 6:30am: On a beautifully clear (and very early) morning, we gathered at a park on the Peninsula overlooking the water to remember the events of that first Easter when some women were the first discover that Jesus had risen. It turned out to be a surprisingly large gathering as many people had seen our signs and decided to join us from all parts of West Auckland. What a great surprise that was!

02.03.2008: WCF officially turned one on March 4th, '08, but we celebrated on the Sunday before with songs, stories, singing "Happy Birthday" (in various languages) and this video, commemorating the events of our first year on the westside.

MESS: Men's Early Summer Sailing '08

26.01.2008: All men of WCF were invited to go on a sailing trip around the Manukau Harbour and to bring along friends. We anchored in Kendall Bay and had a refreshing swim on this hot summer day. Everybody had lots of fun and two of the men even discovered their talent for steering a vessel of this size.

The Pararaha Gorge Trek

Dec 2007: WCF booked an outdoor trip for the youth group to the Pararaha Gorge with Adventure Specialties. What was expected to be a *slightly* difficult hike became a real challenge for some. This video is a tribute to all the brave and persevering group members who invested every remaining piece of strength to reach the goal. Good job, guys.
